I would like and need to raise $10,000 in order to launch my RealFoodies.com web site/business. It is a relatively small amount of money, yet it feels like a huge mountain to me. I have raised money for charity over the years with little resistance, but raising money for my biggest dream seems a lot more scary. Here it goes!

  • Lindey Lambert says:

Many people have asked me to do a speaking event or salon seminar about online media. Until now I have shied away, however, Laurie has challenged me to “Dare to Do It” so I am putting together an SOS (Success Outcome Strategy) for those who want to get their feet wet in the online media marketing pool. Don’t be afraid, it won’t become a second (or third) job, online marketing can be a fun, inexpensive and effective way to spread the word about your business.

So here’s the plan – on or about April 22 I am teaching my first ever online media class. My goal is to have 10 or more people who are ready to dive in to online media and have some fun with online media! I promise you won’t drown! For a mere $35.00 you’ll walk away with a clearer understanding of the overall process and a simple strategy you can use to generate your own online media buzz!

have you ever been given a gift that you are afraid to open? that’s how i feel about wildtree! i’ve been handed an opportunity that is opening so many doors i’m almost afraid to look at them all!! but i am going to dare to do it and reach beyond my comfort zone and find 4 new hosts and 1 new team member for the month of april. i know wildtree can help SO many families by making life easier and healthier and i am setting my intention to share it.

  • I left my “day job” making lots of money to pursue my dream of writing a book. I successfully created my VA Business and got my Life Coach certification, and my business is thriving. But I keep putting my book dream last. My challenge is to manage my business and keep my clients happy and still carve out enough time to write and honor that dream. My first step. . . block out “no work” Friday’s and WRITE!

  • Libbe HaLevy says:

Monica – Congratulations on your determination to write the book. I suggest that you find additional times to write and not put the entire load on a single day. The regularity and continuity of your thinking and writing will keep the book active in your awareness and easier to access. Even if it’s “only” 15 minutes before you start your work day to read, edit and take notes, it will serve you well.

    Go get ‘em!

  • Libbe HaLevy says:

Talk about scary…! I’ve made the determination to help sexual abuse survivors heal by sharing 25 years of information about healing I’ve gathered as an incest survivor, activist, Life Action Coach, from my MA in Spiritual Psychology and my time volunteering on the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline. I’ve created the first workshop for April 18 in Toluca Lake – “Writing from the Dark” – and will be offering monthly interviews, discussions and Q&A teleseminars as of May. I’m taking a coaching/mentoring approach, based on the fact that I’ve been there, I’ve done this healing work, I know what works, and I can help other survivors get beyond their past, their resistances, and into the future of their vision.

At least that’s what I’ve been saying. So don’t you think it would be important for me to actually let a lot of people know about it??? I need to step into marketing this concept, as I would market a writing or info product creation teleseminar. Here’s where I come into collision with my own core issues (”visibility vs. safety”) – and I guess I get to demonstrate what my work is capable of assisting other women abuse survivors in creating in their lives by making this happen for me.

So my “Big Gulp” commitment: To assertively market my new platform through email blasts, autoresponders, a new website w/free downloads, articles, and some of the PR suggestions Phyllis shared with me last night. Right now, this scares me to the point of vertigo and nausea, but as I like to tell my clients, “If you’re comfortable, you’re not making progress.” I vote for progress.

Here goes! (Thanks for the inspiration, Laurie!)

Look at the amazing challenges you’re all putting out there for yourselves! Claudia, Lindey, Jen, Monica and Libbe, I can literally see you each putting a stake in the ground that you are going for it.

I’m with you, Libbe, I vote for progress and that means taking a step, even when it scares the daylights out of you.

Have a great day, everyone, and, gulp, take the next step!

  • Libbe, thank you so much for your encouraging words!

Update on my writing commitment! I find that making the time to honor my writing has paid off in better organization! By keeping my commitment to make time for this, I’ve efficiently gotten my work done in four days rather than five. This cleared the space I needed to focus on working on the book. I’ve written more in the past week than I have in the past six months, so I’m here to celebrate that today!

  • Candi Dygert says:

I’ve just had a fantastic month in March. I held 10 shows and have one new team member in Scottsdale AZ. So far I only have 5 shows on my calendar for April. I am challenging myself to get at least 3 more shows on my calendar for April and schedule at least 5 more for May. My goal by end of my season on June 30th is to find two more team members.

  • I just finished writing and publishing my first book, Deliver the Package. My goal is to sell 100,000 books in 12 months or less by spreading the word to employees inside Fortune 500 companies. I want to help them unleash their genius – at work and in life. I know I can achieve this goal if I stay focused and seek support from others who dare to dream BIG! Thanks in advance for helping me deliver my package!

  • admin says:

Candi, congratulations on your great month in March. A great accomplishment to celebrate! Here’s to the shows you are booking for April and May…can’t you just see them and all the people loving the clothes and buying them! I’m so excited about the new team members who are out there ready to partner with you.
    ASK!

  • admin says:

We all know, or can imagine, the loving attention it takes to birth a new book. Stephanie, you’ve done it!!!! Let’s take this space to celebrate you in this moment. You know there are so many you are meant to touch. You KNOW! Sending you beautiful energy as you spread the word and step into your BIG dream!

  • In my new awareness of marketing my company on the Ecommerce path of success, i decided to “revamp” my website and begin blogging with the help of Lindey Lambert as well as sending monthly newsletters and promotional discounts! yeah, me! With that already in the works, I am daring myself to book ten (10) parties either at someone’s home or boutique by Mother’s Day! There are six already on my calendar and I am aiming for adding four more!!! The deadline is April 12th, so I better get out there and dig up some business!!!!!

  • I’m inspired by reading Stephanie Chick’s comments about launching her book. I took several moments to close my eyes and IMAGINE, and ENVISION myself at that same point a year from now.

And I realized it’s not just telling the story of my husband and I and our sailing adventure, about our travels and seeing the world.

I know this story is about one woman doing something amazing and challenging, and together with the fact that I’d never traveled alone, more than 50 miles from my home, until I was 38 years old, this a story of PROOF that you can do anything, if you believe in yourself. Now I know how to write it!

  • Libbe HaLevy says:

Hi All – Well, the workshop has evolved. This first one is going to be on a donation basis as a trial run for the future. The web site has been slow to get up (tech guy’s wife is having surgery), so I’m not equipped to do the full marketing push. But I have flyers out, have posted on Facebook, spoken with former students of mine, and continue to work to get the word out. If you know any female sexual abuse survivors who would like to participate in a writing/goal setting/coaching/meditation workshop that takes a coaching approach to healing, have them contact me at: info@WriteYourBrainsOut.com or call me at: 818-353-8399. The workshop is on Sunday, April 18 10-4 in Toluca Lake. There are already enrollments and space is limited (really, not hype), so if you’re interested, or know someone who is, send them this info and get in touch!

Thanks for the continuing inspiration, Laurie!

  • What I loved about this challenge most is that it got me thinking.
Considering the possibilities! Beginning to FEEL what my message in my book should be. Thank you Libbe for the encouragement and suggestion! Stephanie for making me feel that the book will be tangible. And Laurie for your constant positive encouragement and daring us to DO IT!

  • Claudia says:

Hi all! Since I posted my challenge I have been to LA and had a few fund raising meetings. I will keep you posted on the outcome. Even though I have not secured the funding as of today, taking those meetings really helped me to refine my pitch as well as gain confidence in presenting. I am not saying that I am not still scared or gun shy, but I am not giving up. I was told that the average start up has 250 meeting before they secure funding, mind you, not meeting to raise 10k, but you get the idea.

  • Claudia says:

On March 23rd at 9:20 am, I posted that I wanted to raise 10K to launch start up. It is May 4th and as of yesterday I raised 12K with more possibly still coming in.

Needless to say, I am overwhelmed with joy and an incredible sense of urgency to put this money to work.

The money came from unexpected places. The wonderful people who believed in the idea and most of all believed in me are a incredible gift. They are not only investors, but partners. I know that the money they have brought to my business is only a small part of the gift they bring.

I am so happy I posted my challenge here. I feel like the universe kicked in the moment I posted. I have to thank Laurie, as none of this would have happened without her amazing coaching and support.

    What’s next?

  • Yeah for you Claudia! How wonderful it is to see your vision take shape. I can’t wait to hear more and see RealFoodies.com come to life and grow. I agree with you that Laurie’s exceptional guidance and support are amazing!

  • Lindey Lambert says:

I taught my first class and it was a huge success! In fact I’m once again daring to try something new. This month it’s a webinar … I’ll keep you posted on the dates!

  • Jamie says:

I am going for a big promotion! My goal is have it completed by August 31st! It’s a big challenge, but I’m going to focus on the activity and the pleasure of the journey vs stressing about the destination! I know that I can help so many people achieve better health, as well as help people acheive btter wealth! So my intention is to help as many people as I can and let the universe take care of the rest! But since I’m putting this out there, I would LOVE 3 more hard workers on my team that really see the vision!

  • Claudia says:

I have to make a little correction. I don’t know what kind of tea I was drinking. I raised 15K! Don’t know why it came out as $12K. 15 is much better than 12!!

  • Claudia says:

A new challenge. I would like to find a co-founder. Preferably someone with a really strong business/marketing background who is well connected. This person is a seasoned entrepreneur who is looking for his/her next big thing to be a part of. I have done a lot of reading about start-ups and successful businesses and even though one person may have the creative vision or the technical chops, there is usually another person who fills in what the other is missing. I have seen what partnering with all of you on a spiritual/energy level has brought to my life and I am convinced that two will be better than one when it comes to the success of RealFoodies.

Hi Everyone. My dare to do it challenge is selling 10,000 My Focus Book year sets by November of this year. I am excited!!! I know it is done, however I don’t know where or who it will come from yet.

Claudia your dare to do it challenge is so inspiring to me!!! You put down 10K and shortly thereafter found 15K….good for you! I know you are going to find the perfect match for your co-founder partnership.

Lindey, I love that your first class was a hit! Yay!

I can’t wait to reach my dare to do it challenge of 10,000 units (of the year package) and share it with all of you!

  • Hi Everyone! My dare is to create a video for the audition with Oprah’s network called OWN! I am creating a a tv show called Gift Revealer!
Here are some questions I am asking…

How would you feel if you knew your Gift could be Revealed today?? excited? fun or nervous??

Imagine what YOUR LIFE would be like if you created it from your Gift??

Are you Ready to receive your Gift??

I am claiming I will be picked for the TV Show and I will be in the top 5, which means I will be viewed by over 90, 000 people and I can receive that!! I am Ready!!

  • I am up and on the Oprah’s site! YEA! I now am up to the task of creating over it least 100,000 votes as I want to be in the top 5! So my challenge is allowing the Votes in!! I Receive!! I receive!
